Ukraine switches to daylight saving time: when and by how much to change the clocks

In Ukraine, the transition to daylight saving time will take place on the night of March 28-29. At 03:00, clocks must be set forward one hour to 04:00.

This is reported by the Official Portal of the Verkhovna Rada.

The transition to daylight saving time traditionally takes place every year in the spring, in accordance with Resolution No. 509 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

It is noted that most modern electronic devices change the time automatically, but mechanical watches and some equipment must be adjusted manually.

Seasonal time change means a reduction in sleep duration, but at the same time an increase in daylight hours.

Despite the adoption by the Verkhovna Rada in 2024 of a bill to abolish the time change, it was not signed by the president, so the current practice remains.

In Ukraine, clocks are changed twice a year — in spring and autumn, and this tradition continues.
