On June 20, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree introducing a new package of sanctions against individuals and companies involved in the production and supply of drones used by Russia to attack Ukraine.
This is stated on the website of the head of state.
The restrictions affected not only the developers of combat drones such as Geran, Orlan-10, SuperCam, and FPV drones, but also suppliers of equipment and components for enterprises working for the Russian military-industrial complex. In particular, the sanctions affected suppliers of equipment for the Alabuga Machinery company and importers of parts for the Kronstadt company, a manufacturer of drones, including a model called Banderol.
In addition, sanctions have been imposed against individuals who facilitate the circumvention of international restrictions and are engaged in the supply of dual-use goods to the Russian Federation, despite the ban.
These sanctions came into effect immediately after the decree was issued.
As a reminder, the New Zealand government announced the introduction of new sanctions targeting Russian and Belarusian companies and citizens. In addition, the sanctions list includes four individuals from North Korea and two from Iran who are involved in supporting Russia’s military actions in Ukraine.
In addition, leaders of the G7 member countries have made progress on Ukraine and are preparing to introduce strengthened sanctions against Russia.
As reported, the US Senate has postponed the introduction of increased sanctions against Russia until at least July . The reason for the delay is the conflict between Iran and Israel.
