Ukraine to hold talks with Witkoff and Kushner over Russia’s violation of energy truce

The Ukrainian negotiating team will soon hold an online meeting with US President’s special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. During the conversation, the Ukrainian side plans to present evidence of Russia’s violation of the energy truce previously announced by Donald Trump.

In particular, they plan to show the American side the facts of the Russian strikes on October 11 and 12, which Ukraine considers a violation of agreements to stop attacks on energy facilities.

At the same time, the Ukrainian side warns that if Russia continues to strike, Ukraine will be forced to respond.

It was previously reported that Russia is demanding that the United States lift sanctions as part of talks on a possible energy truce with Ukraine . Moscow is also trying to link this initiative to a ceasefire in the Black Sea.

As a reminder, US President Donald Trump announced the introduction of an energy ceasefire in the war between Ukraine and Russia . According to him, both sides agreed to stop attacks on energy facilities.
