The Verkhovna Rada will consider an updated bill on strengthening responsibility for evading mobilization and leaving a military unit without authorization. This was stated by Prime Minister Serhiy Koretsky, emphasizing the need for the Armed Forces of Ukraine to replenish and rotate military personnel.

According to the Prime Minister, the bill has been in the Verkhovna Rada for a long time, but it has been updated. The document provides for increased responsibility for those who evade mobilization or leave a military unit without permission.
Koretsky explained that the army needs replenishment, in particular due to losses, injuries, and missing servicemen. At the same time, some servicemen serve for many years and need rotation.
The Prime Minister stated that the number of people with deferments and reservations, as well as those who are avoiding mobilization, according to his assessment, significantly exceeds the number of military personnel.
He also noted that over the past 6–8 months, the number of booked employees at enterprises has increased by several hundred thousand. According to the head of government, the number of bookings and postponements increases by tens of thousands every month.
“And if we continue to live like this, in such dynamics, and these dynamics persist, then absolutely everyone will be booked,” Koretsky said.
By the way, the Government plans to complete work on changes to the system of reserving conscripts from mobilization this week . The new rules should make it fairer and eliminate opportunities for abuse. At the same time, enterprises that truly ensure the defense and life of the country will be able to continue to reserve workers under the current conditions.
It was previously reported that Ukraine is preparing changes to the rules for booking military conscripts. The project provides for reducing limits for enterprises in the defense-industrial complex, energy, and part of the utilities sector, as well as the creation of a new body that will influence the granting of the status of a critically important enterprise.
