Ukraine U-21 starts at Euro 2025 with a match against Denmark: where to watch

On Thursday, June 12, the Ukrainian youth national team will begin its participation in the 2025 European Under-21 Championship. The first opponent of Unai Melgosa’s team will be the Danish national team.

The match will be held at the Tatran Stadium in Prešov, Slovakia. The game will start at 19:00 Kyiv time.

Ukraine, Denmark, the Netherlands and Finland compete in one group for a place in the quarter-finals. The two best teams from each group will advance to the next stage. Finland and the Netherlands will face each other in a parallel group match.

History of confrontations between Ukraine and Denmark at the U-21 level:

• March 2023 — Ukraine won 3:2 (friendly match);

• September 2020 — draw 1:1;

• November 2019 — Denmark won 3:2 (Euro qualifier).

The match will be officiated by a referee from Georgia, Giorgi Kikacheishvili.
