Ukraine will announce the alarm in a new way

Ukraine has changed the approach to air threat alerts: now the alert will be issued not by region, but by district.

This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svirydenko.

According to her, the State Emergency Service, the Air Force, and regional military administrations jointly launched the division into districts throughout the country, except for the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

This approach will reduce the duration of air alerts, where there is no real threat at the moment, and will also help to establish the operation of enterprises without downtime, supporting economic activity.

The new system has already passed the first stage of testing in 13 regions. Svyridenko noted a significant reduction in the duration of alarms in frontline and central regions.

“We recorded the greatest effect in the Dnipropetrovsk region, where some communities received over 100 additional days without alarms. In the Sumy region, the time of alarms was reduced by 50 days, in the Kharkiv region – by more than a month in some communities,” the prime minister explained.

At the same time, the process of transmitting the signal from the Air Force to the State Emergency Service will be faster: it will last not several minutes, but 8–15 seconds.

As a reminder, Russian troops attacked Ukraine at night with various types of attack drones . Thanks to the work of air defense, most of the enemy targets were destroyed.
