The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the resolution of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on new parking rules for drivers transporting children under the age of 3. Parking lots will provide special places with appropriate markings and signs, and drivers’ cars will be marked with identification marks.
This was announced by the Minister of Internal Affairs Ivan Vyhivskyi.
According to the new rules, the number of special parking spaces must be at least 5% of the total number of spaces in the site, but in any case there must be at least one such space. It must be located no further than 50 meters from the entrance to the parking lot.
Road markings and signs with the image of a baby stroller will be used to mark such places. Drivers who mark their cars with the appropriate identification sign must have an electronic or paper document confirming the child’s age.
The resolution was developed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs in accordance with the relevant law. According to Vyhivsky, the decision is aimed at increasing the safety and comfort of families with young children.
