Ukraine will provide assistance in the fight against the “Shaheeds” in the Middle East

The United States has asked Ukraine for help in protecting against Shahed suicide drones in the Middle East.

This was reported by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on Telegram.

According to the head of state, Washington asked Kyiv to provide specific support to counter these drones in the region.

“We received a request from the United States for specific support in protecting against the “Shaheeds” in the Middle East region. I instructed to provide the necessary means and ensure the presence of Ukrainian specialists who can guarantee the necessary security,” Zelenskyy noted.

The President emphasized that Ukraine supports partners who help strengthen the security of Ukrainians and protect people’s lives.

As previously reported, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on concerns about the consequences of the war in the Middle East and the possible impact on air defense supplies to Ukraine.

As a reminder, Washington is preparing for a protracted confrontation with Iran . The US Central Command has asked the Pentagon to send additional personnel to support the operation, which may indicate preparations for combat operations lasting at least 100 days.
