Ukraine will receive $100 million from Poland: what will the funds be used for?

The European Union remains the main donor of Ukrainian defense, and Poland will provide Ukraine with an additional $100 million by the end of the year to purchase American weapons and strengthen its defense capabilities.
This was stated in Brussels by Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski, RAR reports.
He emphasized that the outcome of the Russian-Ukrainian war will directly determine the future level of security in Europe.
Commenting on media reports about the 28-point American plan for a possible end to the war, Sikorsky stressed that European countries should participate in making decisions related to the security of the region.
“We should not limit the victim’s ability to defend themselves – we should restrain the aggressor,” he noted.
The head of Polish diplomacy also spoke in favor of the adoption of a powerful 20th package of sanctions against Russia. He emphasized that the Russian economy is already feeling the serious consequences of the loss of the European market, selling oil and gas at discounts and even importing gasoline. He separately drew attention to the risks of the “shadow fleet” in the Baltic Sea, which, according to him, poses a threat to the environment and helps finance the war.
Sikorsky explained that the new financial package will allow Ukraine to purchase American weapons systems within the framework of the Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List (PURL) program.
During his visit to Brussels, the Minister met with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and will also participate in a meeting between EU foreign ministers and Ukrainian Minister Andriy Szybiga. Topics include the situation on the frontline, Belarus’ hybrid attacks on EU countries, and recent sabotage on Polish railways.

As reported, the head of the Bureau of International Policy under the President of Poland, Marcin Przydach, stated that there will be no return to the previous format of relations with Ukraine .
