Ukraine has secured new energy aid packages from foreign partners that will help strengthen the resilience of its energy systems amid ongoing Russian shelling.
This was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sybiha.
Specifically, Azerbaijan donated energy equipment to restore power supply to the affected regions. This includes 12 low-voltage panels, 11 generators, 5 transformers, and 27,000 meters of cable.
The Netherlands, for its part, announced an additional €23 million in energy support for Ukraine. The funds will be used to purchase gas, equipment for urgent power plant repairs, and the supply of energy equipment from Dutch companies, including generators and cables.
By the end of January, Ukraine also expects the arrival of energy and medical equipment from Slovakia and other countries.
Furthermore, according to Sybiga, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has already sent three generators to the hardest-hit communities in the Kyiv region and will deliver ten more by the end of the week.
The minister assured that Ukrainian diplomats will continue to work to attract additional international support.
