Ukraine will receive large financial assistance for energy restoration

Ukraine will attract over 600 million euros to restore the energy sector.
This was stated by Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal.
The partners will contribute over 250 million euros to the Energy Support Fund for Ukraine. Separately, an agreement was reached with the United States on an assistance program through the SPARK project for $276 million.
In addition, France will provide 71 million euros in grant support in 2026.
Ukraine has also agreed with European partners to transfer equipment from decommissioned thermal power plants and power plants. This concerns at least six CHPs and TPPs. The equipment is planned to be promptly delivered and installed in order to restore the destroyed plants and provide people with heat.
In addition, Ukraine signed a roadmap with France in the field of civil nuclear energy and concluded a memorandum with Canada on cooperation in the energy sector.
A new aid coordination mechanism, the single energy pipeline, is also being created. Its goal is to speed up the delivery of equipment and make support more effective.
Together with the Baltic countries, Poland, Finland, Denmark and Norway, a regional coordination platform has been launched to strengthen the energy sustainability of the countries of the EU’s northeastern flank.
In Paris, the Ukrainian delegation held meetings with representatives of the EU, the USA, the UK, Canada and a number of other countries.
Recall that Germany plans to transfer more than 30 mobile thermal power plants to Ukraine in the near future , which will provide electricity and heat for part of the population.
As previously reported, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the introduction of a state of emergency in Ukraine’s energy sector.
