By the end of 2025, Ukraine will receive two more modern Patriot air defense systems. They will be delivered by Germany with support from its Norwegian partners.
German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius stated this during the Warsaw Security Forum.
According to him, Russia’s recent massive attacks—more than 580 drones and more than 40 missiles—have proven the need to strengthen Ukraine’s air defenses.
“Germany has already delivered three Patriot systems. By the end of this year, we will deliver two more with the support of our Norwegian partners,” Pistorius emphasized.
He also emphasized that Germany remains the largest provider of aid to Ukraine among European countries: “Every year we spend around 9 billion euros to support it in its courageous struggle.”
As a reminder, large-scale Russian attacks and the slowdown in American supplies have created a threat of a shortage of air defense systems in Ukraine .
Incidentally, Ukraine will receive two more modern Patriot air defense systems from Germany. The first launchers have already been handed over to the Ukrainian side, and the full transfer of the two systems is in the final stages.
