The Ukrainian negotiating team is adjusting its work against the backdrop of a massive Russian missile and drone attack on a number of regions.

This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

He said the Kremlin took advantage of the US offer of a temporary ceasefire to stockpile weapons and strike during the coldest days of the year. This move was not in support of diplomacy.

The enemy used more than 500 weapons: over 70 missiles of various types, most of them ballistic, as well as 450 strike UAVs.

Most of the targets were shot down, but not all. There were hits on energy infrastructure, in particular, the Kyiv, Kharkiv, Vinnytsia, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia and Kyiv regions were the most affected.

Zelenskyy stressed that the most difficult thing is with heating in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, and Lozova in the Kharkiv region.

“Each such blow by Russia confirms that the attitude in Moscow has not changed: they still count on war and the destruction of Ukraine and do not take diplomacy seriously. The work of our negotiating team will be adjusted accordingly,” the president concluded.

It is worth noting that Russia has dealt the most powerful blow to Ukraine’s energy infrastructure since the beginning of 2026. Electricity generation and distribution facilities were under attack.

As a reminder, Russian occupation forces have again launched an attack on Kyiv . Destruction and fires have been recorded there, and at least three people have been injured.

It is known that Russian troops carried out a massive missile and drone attack on the Odessa region , as a result of which more than 50 thousand residents of the region were left without electricity.

By the way, the Russians have launched a massive attack on critical infrastructure facilities in the Vinnytsia region . As a result of the attack, approximately 50 settlements were left without power.
