In the coming days, Fire Point plans to sign an agreement with Denmark to produce engines for a ballistic missile on its territory.
This was reported by Fire Point co-founder and chief designer Denis Shtilerman in an interview with Olesya Batsman.
“We have everything for the FP-9, which can fly to Moscow and hit the target at a decent speed, except for the engine. That is, we have the drive, the control system, the hulls. But the engine has not yet been installed and tested. We plan to test it this month and expect to begin test flights in the near future. As soon as the test flight takes place and it shows that everything is working normally, the next tests can be carried out in combat conditions,” commented Stillerman.
In particular, he also emphasized that ballistic missiles could be ready for use as early as this summer or, at the latest, in the fall.
“Since we never wait for permits or codification, but immediately build production lines, we don’t produce one or two copies. We make ten test samples right away. We will produce 10-20 missiles and conduct their tests,” added Stillerman.
Earlier, “Pryamiy” reported that the Minister of Defense of Ukraine announced the creation of the first Ukrainian guided aviation bomb, which has already been tested and is ready for combat use. The development is used within the experimental batch and is undergoing combat testing.
The Ukrainian company Fire Point also reported the successful testing of the FP-7.X missile. This development should become the basis for the creation of the future FREYJA anti-ballistic interceptor.
