Ukrainian becomes Formula 4 champion for the first time in history: details

Today, the last race of the final stage of the Formula 4 Middle East took place in Qatar, as a result of which pilot Alexander Bondarev became the champion of the season.

Already at the beginning of the competition, Bondarev had an advantage – he started from fourth position.

His main opponent was Andy Kosani from France. Before the final two races of the season, the Ukrainian was 23 points ahead of his opponent.

To guarantee the title, Oleksandr Bondarev had to finish no lower than 9th. However, the Frenchman could hope for this if he won and the Ukrainian finished at most 10th.

It is noted that the competition was intense. At the restart of the race, the Ukrainian lost one position, making a mistake.

In the end, this did not prevent him from finishing fifth and becoming the first Ukrainian Formula 4 champion.

Andy Kosani won the championship, Romanian David Cosma took second place in the race, and Christopher Kostoya from Spain finished third.
