Judge of the Ovidiopol District Court of the Odessa Region, Dmytro Gandziy, refused to change the phrase “racist pederation” to “Russian Federation” in his decision, emphasizing that this is a correct definition of the aggressor country.
This is reported by the publication “Dumskaya”.
The decision concerned a civil case in which the plaintiff sought to establish the legal fact of his brother’s death in the war. The judge used the term “racist pederation” in reference to Russia, and after the plaintiff’s request to correct the name, he refused, explaining that this was not a typo and did not affect the essence of the decision.
“The specified expression has no consequences for the applicant and is not an incorrect name for the country that on February 24, 2022, launched an open aggressive war against Ukraine,” the decision states.
The judge also recalled that the term “racism” was officially recognized by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
