Ukrainian Defense Forces have been ordered to maintain a ceasefire.

Units of the Defence Forces were ordered to observe a ceasefire on the line of contact from 00:00 on September 5 until 23:59 on September 8.
This was reported by Ukrainska Pravda, citing its sources in security agencies and several brigades in various areas.
According to other sources, this ceasefire was not announced. However, the Defense Forces will respond in kind if it is violated.
Parallel to the introduction of the ceasefire, an air raid alarm sounded in Kyiv due to another Russian drone attack.
The temporary ceasefire is linked to the visit this weekend to Moscow and Kiev of US President Donald Trump’s special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
According to Donald Trump , special envoys went to Moscow with a proposal to end the war in Ukraine.
As reported by Pryamoy, the US demanded that Ukraine cease drone strikes on Moscow and Russian energy facilities during the stay of American representatives in Russia, and that Russia similarly cease missile strikes on Kyiv.
