Ukrainian delegation met with US representatives: details of negotiations

On Thursday, February 26, a bilateral meeting between the American and Ukrainian delegations kicked off in Geneva.
This was stated by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov.
“Today in Geneva, we continue our work within the framework of the negotiation process. A bilateral meeting with the American delegation – Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner – has begun. From the Ukrainian side, Davyd Arakhamia, Oleksiy Sobolev, and Daryna Marchak are in the delegation with me today,” the Secretary of the Council noted.
Umerov said that “mechanisms for economic support and recovery of Ukraine, instruments for attracting investment and long-term cooperation” will be discussed.
“We will also discuss preparations for the next round of trilateral negotiations with the participation of the Russian side with David – it is necessary to synchronize positions before this stage,” the head of the National Security and Defense Council wrote.
In addition, Umerov added that the delegations will discuss possible exchanges.
As a reminder, US President Donald Trump has increased pressure on Ukraine to “quickly” reach an agreement with Russia ahead of preliminary US-mediated talks in Geneva.
