Ukrainian drones attacked an important Russian metallurgical plant in Alchevsk

The Security Service of Ukraine, together with the Defense Forces, struck the Alchevsk Metallurgical Plant in the temporarily occupied territory. As a result of the attack, the plant stopped working.

This was reported by the press service of the SBU.

According to the agency, employees of the Main Directorate of the SBU in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, together with the 1st Separate Center of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, struck the Alchevsk Metallurgical Plant for the second time in a month.

The enterprise is one of the key industrial facilities used by the occupying forces to ensure military production. It is noted that its products are supplied to the Russian Uralvagonzavod, which manufactures military equipment, in particular T-90M “Proryv” tanks and “Msta-S” howitzers.

After determining the location of critical production facilities, they were struck by Fire Point’s FP-2 drones.

The attack damaged:

• blast furnaces;
• key production workshops;
• distillation columns;
• gas pipelines;
• electrical substations.

The SBU reported that the plant stopped work due to the damage.

“The SBU, together with the Defense Forces of Ukraine, will continue to systematically reduce the enemy’s capabilities in the military-industrial sector,” the department noted.

Let us recall that on the night of April 4, the Unmanned Systems Forces, together with other units, struck two hubs and pre-flight training points of the “Shahedi” in Navlya, Bryansk Oblast, and at the Khalino airfield in Kursk Oblast.

By the way , over two days – April 1 and 2 – the Ukrainian military struck important Russian army facilities. An oil refinery in the deep rear of the Russian Federation, a training ground, and ammunition depots were hit.

It was previously reported that, while reducing the enemy’s military potential, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a Russian enterprise in the Bryansk region.
