The Ukrainian Armed Forces’ unmanned systems forces hit two Russian Mi-28 and Mi-17 helicopters in the Voronezh region of the Russian Federation.

This was announced by the Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Robert “Magyar” Brody.

According to him, the strike was carried out on a field airstrip located more than 150 kilometers from the line of contact. Four Mi-28 and Mi-17 helicopters were at this point, where they were refueling and undergoing technical inspection between flights.

The operation was carried out on April 29 by pilots of combined crews of the 429th separate brigade of unmanned systems “Achilles” and the 43rd separate artillery brigade in cooperation with the Central Military District “A”.

The blows were delivered to the rear central part of the engine compartment, bypassing the main propeller blades.

According to preliminary data, at least one specialist who was servicing helicopters was killed during the attack.

Robert Brovdy noted that the Ukrainian “Birds” continue to work on enemy targets even in the deep rear of the Russian Federation.

It should be noted that the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out a series of strikes on important military facilities of the Russian occupiers in Crimea, Zaporizhia and Donetsk regions during the day, on April 29.

It was previously reported that a Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter jet struck Russian military positions in the village of Tyotkino, Kursk Region of the Russian Federation.
