On the night of October 9, Ukrainian Defense Forces struck facilities in Russia related to missile infrastructure and the production of rocket fuel components. Among the targets were the Launch Complex Research Institute, the Redkin Research Plant, and the Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Elimination Center.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In the Nizhny Novgorod region, near the settlement of Dalne Konstantinovo-5, a facility belonging to a branch of the Center for the Operation of Ground-Based Space Infrastructure Facilities — the V. P. Barmin Research Institute of Launch Complexes was hit. The institution develops and operates launch complexes, refueling equipment, and missile control systems.
Another target was the Redkinsky Research Plant in Tver Oblast. The plant produces components for the Decilin-M fuel used in the Kh-55 and Kh-101 cruise missiles, as well as additives for diesel fuel and aviation kerosene. The plant is involved in the production chains of the Russian military-industrial complex and is under international sanctions.
In addition, Ukrainian units struck the Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Elimination Center near the village of Surovatykha in the Nizhny Novgorod region. According to the General Staff, the operation is aimed at weakening Russia’s capabilities to produce explosives and rocket fuel.
The General Staff emphasized that strikes on such facilities are part of measures to reduce Russia’s military-economic and technological potential and are carried out within the framework of Ukraine’s right to self-defense in accordance with Article 51 of the UN Charter.
“Work on key enemy military targets continues,” the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted.
