Ukrainian intelligence destroyed a group of Russian special forces: details of the operation

On Friday, July 4, in the settlement of Strilkove in the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region, Ukrainian intelligence officers eliminated a group of Russian special forces.

This was reported by the press service of the Main Intelligence Directorate.

As it became known, a Chevrolet Aveo car exploded on the outskirts of the village. Inside the car were three people – UAV operators of the so-called Bars-Sarmat Special Purpose Unmanned Systems Center of the Russian occupation army.

As a result of the operation, all three, including the senior member of the group, died.

The Main Intelligence Directorate emphasized that they posed a threat to the Defense Forces and terrorized the local population.

“The so-called “Bars-Sarmat” center was formed in 2024 in the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhia region. It specializes in testing and combat use of new robotic and electronic systems, including UAVs, robotic complexes, electronic reconnaissance and combat systems, as well as control and communication equipment,” the GUR explained.

It is noted that the structure of the enemy center included several detachments. The group liquidated by Ukrainian intelligence was part of a detachment located in occupied Genichesk.

“The Military Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reminds that there will be fair retribution for every war crime committed against the Ukrainian people,” the press service concluded.

As a reminder, a high-ranking military officer, Major General Mikhail Gudkov, who had recently taken up the position of Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, was eliminated in the border region of the Kursk region of Russia.

By the way, on June 18, in the temporarily occupied Berdyansk, Zaporizhia region , a collaborator, traitor to the state, and war criminal, Mykhailo Hrytsai, was killed.
