Ukrainian intelligence received secret data on Russia’s newest nuclear cruiser

Specialists from the Main Intelligence Directorate have received secret information about Russia’s new nuclear submarine cruiser. The nuclear submarine is called “Prince Pozharsky”.

The press service of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense reported this.

In particular, the GUR obtained lists of names of the submarine crew personnel, including information on positions, qualifications and level of physical fitness. And also:

• combat instructions for the crew;
• combat diagram of the ship, diagrams of survivability systems and organizational structure of the crew;
• crew orders in cabins and quarters, instructions for the transfer of the wounded and cargo, procedures for action during towing and other job instructions;
• engineering documentation, in particular the report on the investigation of the deformed radio beacon indicating the members of the commission and the enterprises that participated in the investigation.

The scouts also received an extract from the submarine’s ship schedule book.

“This voluminous document regulates the daily combat and routine work of the vessel,” the intelligence service reported.

The Project 955A Borei-A submarines are one of the key elements of the Kremlin’s so-called nuclear triad. The submarines have 16 launch tubes for R-30 Bulava-30 intercontinental ballistic missiles, each of which can carry up to 10 warheads.

The strategic submarine “Prince Pozharsky” joined the 31st submarine division of the Northern Fleet of the Russian Navy only on July 24, 2025. Its permanent home base is Gadzhiyevo, Murmansk Region.

“Russian dictator Vladimir Putin personally accepted Pozharsky for combat duty,” the intelligence service emphasized.

The GUR notes that the information received makes it possible to identify the features and technical limitations of not only the said submarine, but also other Project 955A submarines, which are critically important for supporting the “imperial myth” of the aggressor state.
