Ukrainian interceptor drone Zorelit v5 completes testing: speed up to 416 km/h

The Ukrainian company Vluchnik has completed internal testing of its new Zorelit v5 interceptor drone, designed to combat high-speed aerial targets, particularly jet-powered attack UAVs.

According to Stepan Radibog, director of Vedushchee, the drone has completed a full testing cycle and confirmed its stated performance characteristics. The company is now ready to supply drones to military units under direct contracts. Following codification, Zorelit v5 is planned to be made available for procurement through the eBaly platform.

The interceptor’s stated maximum speed is 416 km/h, and its range on a single charge is up to 47 km. At a cruising speed of approximately 200 km/h, the aircraft can remain airborne for up to 17 minutes.

The Zorelit v5 is designed to carry a warhead weighing between 300 and 600 grams. According to the manufacturer, the drone can intercept reconnaissance drones, Gerbers, and Gerani-2s, as well as high-speed Gerani-3 and Gerani-4 jets. The stated speed of the drone allows it to engage targets flying at approximately 300–350 km/h.

The interceptor’s capabilities include automatic target detection and illumination using artificial intelligence algorithms, automatic target acquisition during the final phase of flight, and integration with the SkyMap system.

SkyMap should automatically guide the drone to the target’s location and calculate the interception trajectory taking into account the remaining battery charge.

The new device was developed based on the previous version, Zorelit v4. According to the company, its predecessor already had combat experience and received a NATO NSN. Some of the technical solutions tested in v4 were carried over to the new version.
