“Ukrainian Men in Dubai”: Russia Launches Massive Information Operation Against Ukraine Using AI

The Center for Countering Disinformation has recorded the distribution of a series of videos on TikTok, created using artificial intelligence, depicting “Ukrainian men of mobilization age” in Dubai. The goal of the campaign is to manipulate public opinion and discredit Ukraine.

This was reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation.

It is noted that in the video, the generated characters express support for the decision to send Ukrainian military specialists to Middle Eastern countries to counter drones.

“The Armed Forces of Ukraine are obliged to protect Ukrainians anywhere in the world,” the characters in these videos voice their position.

The Center for Countering Disinformation emphasizes that all videos have common features, including the same script and the use of recognizable Dubai locations as backgrounds.

It was also found that the materials were created using artificial intelligence and distributed by anonymous accounts, which indicates the coordinated nature of the information operation.

The department notes that the goal of this campaign is to discredit Ukraine’s international cooperation, undermine trust in the state’s decisions in the security sector, and provoke a split in Ukrainian society.

By the way, Russian propaganda has intensified an information campaign aimed at disrupting the evacuation of civilians from the frontline territories of Ukraine.
