Ukrainian military prepares defensive lines in Kupyansk: Russians will try to break into the city

The military of the Defense Forces of Ukraine are carrying out work to clear Kupyansk from Russian occupiers in the Kharkiv region.
This was stated by the presiding officer of the 2nd Corps of the National Guard “Charter” Volodymyr Degtyarev on the air of “Suspilny”.
According to him, Ukrainian defense forces are currently trying to neutralize the occupiers who made their way into the city back in September.
The military is preparing new defensive lines, as it is expected that enemy personnel will attempt to break through to their units from the northern part. However, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are prepared for such a development.
“We understand what to expect, so engineering training and constant systematic detection of UAVs using various means and systematic destruction are underway,” Degtyarev explained.
He noted that there are currently about 200 Russian army soldiers in Kupyansk, but this figure is not accurate. The presidium officer added that there are many places in the city where Russians can hide.
As is known, Ukrainian units are continuing to liberate Kupyansk in the Kharkiv region, where active fighting has already moved to the central part of the city.
By the way, the Defense Forces are conducting an operation to liberate Kupyansk – active fighting is ongoing in the city, as Russian troops, who remained blocked, are trying to resist .
We remind you that the activity of Russian troops in Kupyansk has decreased , however, the intensity of operations in the Kharkiv region remains high – the enemy is trying to advance in the South-Slobozhansk direction.
It is worth noting that the Ukrainian Defense Forces cut off Russian troops from supplies in Kupyansk in the Kharkiv region, so they tried to advance by bypassing the city from the sides.
