Soldiers from the 19th Army Corps of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have refuted Russia’s latest claims of seizing Kostyantynivka in Donetsk Oblast, releasing videos from various parts of the city.
The 19th Army Corps reported this.
Ukrainian military officials emphasized that Russia’s statements are yet another attempt to pass off wishful thinking as reality, given the significant losses of personnel and the failure of attempts to advance in this direction.
The released footage shows servicemen in different parts of Kostyantynivka, indicating that the city remains under the control of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to the corps, individual Russian sabotage and assault groups are attempting to penetrate the city, but Ukrainian units are quickly detecting and eliminating such attempts.
The military command urged citizens to trust only official sources of information and not to disseminate unverified reports that could be used by Russia in its information war.
“Konstantinivka is holding its ground. The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to carry out their assigned tasks,” the 19th Army Corps concluded.
Earlier, the “East” group of forces stated that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin’s claims of the complete capture of Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region were false . Ukrainian military officials emphasize that the city remains under the control of the Defense Forces, and fighting continues.
Incidentally, the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) stated thatthe Kremlin’s announcement of the alleged complete capture of Konstantinovka is part of a propaganda campaign . Analysts emphasize that the actual situation on the battlefield does not support the Russian claims.
As a reminder, the Russian army continues its offensive in the Donetsk region and is attempting to reach Konstantinovka. However,the Kremlin’s claims of significant successes in this sector of the front do not correspond to the actual situation.
