The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has approved for use in the army a new ground-based robotic complex “Plyushch”. It was created by Ukrainian developers for reconnaissance, communications, and work near the front line.
This is stated in the Defense Blog article.
The main feature of the complex is a 10-meter mast, on which cameras, communication antennas, or electronic warfare equipment can be placed.
“The platform can work as a communications hub, conduct surveillance, and perform reconnaissance missions,” the developers report.
The complex moves on tracks and can operate even in difficult terrain – in forests, ravines or quarries. According to the manufacturers, the robot is able to remain in position autonomously for up to four days.
“The NRC can travel to forward positions and remain in ambush mode for up to four days, transmitting information to the military,” the company notes.
The developers also updated the design of “Ivy”: they installed a more powerful battery, changed the mast deployment system, and relocated the Starlink terminal.
The Ministry of Defense emphasizes that such robotic systems help the military perform tasks without undue risk to personnel.
As a reminder, Ukraine plans to produce 25,000 ground combat robots by 2026 , which are already being used on the frontline to perform combat, logistical, and evacuation tasks. The Ukrainian military says that the use of such systems reduces risks to personnel.
As reported, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has codified and approved for use in the Armed Forces a new ground robotic complex “Bizon-L”.
