On Tuesday, November 25, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree introducing new sanctions.
This is stated on the website of the presidential online representation.
The restrictions apply to vessels that have been illegally exporting Ukrainian products from temporarily occupied ports since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
“Among them are ships that loaded thousands of tons of stolen Ukrainian wheat, sunflower seeds, and other food products in the closed ports of Sevastopol and Feodosia, temporarily occupied by Russia, and exported abroad,” the report says.
In total, 56 objects were subject to sanctions for a period of 10 years, 17 of which did not fly under the Russian flag.
In addition, among these vessels there is a significant proportion of those that are already under restrictions by the United States, Switzerland and the European Union.
It is emphasized that individuals who illegally exported Ukrainian food received a monetary reward, and then paid taxes and filled the Kremlin budget, financing the war against Ukraine.
Earlier, Volodymyr Zelensky signed decrees introducing new sanctions against Russia . The restrictions affected both individuals and a number of Russian publishing houses that spread propaganda and justify aggression against Ukraine.
As a reminder, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree introducing three packages of sanctions against individuals who help Russia.
It is known that the European Commission has officially approved a new, 19th package of sanctions against the Russian Federation.
