Ukrainian soldiers eliminated almost a thousand occupiers in one day

Over the past 24 hours, the Russian army lost 940 servicemen. In addition to manpower, tanks, combat vehicles, artillery and air defense systems were destroyed.

The total losses of the Russian Federation from the beginning of the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022 as of August 9, 2025 are approximately:

• personnel – 1,062,290 (+940) people;

• tanks – 11,088 (+5);

• combat armored vehicles – 23,103 (+1);

• artillery systems – 31,273 (+41);

• MLRS – 1,456;

• air defense systems – 1204 (+1);

• aircraft – 421;

• helicopters – 340 ;

• Operational-tactical level UAVs – 50,315 (+147);

• cruise missiles – 3555;

• ships/boats – 28;

• submarines – 1;

• motor vehicles and tank trucks – 57,856 (+125);

• special equipment – 3,936.

According to the General Staff, since the beginning of the war, losses of Russian army personnel have exceeded 1.06 million people .
