Ukrainian troops cover the port of Olya in the Russian Federation, which was receiving drones from Iran

On Thursday, August 14, Ukrainian military forces struck the Olya seaport in the Astrakhan region of the Russian Federation. The facility is used by the Russians as a logistics hub for the supply of military equipment and ammunition from Iran.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the morning of August 14, units of the Special Operations Forces, together with other defense components, carried out a targeted fire strike on the port of Olya. The main target was the ship Port Olya 4, which was unloading components for the “Shaheeds” and ammunition from Iran.

The General Staff reported that the strike resulted in the destruction of both the port and a ship that was actively serving the enemy. The final results of the operation are currently being clarified.

As a reminder, on the night of August 15 , drones struck a strategic facility in Russia — an oil refinery in Syzran, Samara Region.

As reported, on the night of August 14 , units of the Unmanned Systems Forces and the GUR, in cooperation with other components of the SOU, struck the Volgograd Oil Refinery, which supplies the Russian army.
