The government is delaying payments promised under the “National Cashback” program. Despite the fact that Ukrainians should have already received money for September, the last payment was received for purchases made in July.
This is stated in the material of “Economic Truth”.
In particular, users of Natskeshbek complain that the percentage from purchases of Ukrainian goods has not arrived for a long time – the last receipts were received in early autumn for goods purchased in July.
“EP”, citing interlocutors in the Cabinet of Ministers, notes that the government currently does not have funds to finance the program.
At the same time, a number of new programs were recently announced. These include a thousand from the president, a one-time payment of over 6 thousand hryvnias for certain categories of the population, as well as the opportunity to travel 3 thousand kilometers for free on Ukrzaliznytsia trains.
According to sources in the Ministry of Finance, the money for payments within the framework of the “National Cashback” will be allocated from the reserve fund, and later they will be transferred to the accounts of Ukrainians. The corresponding decision has already been made.
“Finding additional funds for new support programs while there is a shortage for old ones is not an easy task. Last year’s “winter support” was financed primarily thanks to the remaining funds from other support programs. […] In 2025, the Ministry of Economy does not have such a reserve of unused funds,” the material notes.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the government is preparing a large-scale “winter support” program that will come into effect in December. It will include direct payments, social assistance, maintaining fixed fares, and free rail travel within the country.
Recall that in September 2024, the “national cashback” function was launched in Ukraine , thanks to which 10 percent of the cost of domestic goods will be returned for the purchase of domestic goods.
