Ukrainians will be able to apply for a deferment from mobilization via smartphone or ASN

The Government of Ukraine has updated the rules for issuing deferrals from mobilization: from November 1, they will be extended automatically. You can apply for a deferral through the “Reserve+” mobile application or at the Centers for Administrative Services (CASS).

This was announced by the Ministry of Digital Transformation and the Ministry of Defense.

According to the agencies, the goal of the innovation is to simplify the process and reduce the burden on territorial recruitment centers and social points so that they can focus on key mobilization tasks. The automatic extension of deferrals is expected to affect more than 600,000 Ukrainians.

“If all the necessary data is already in the registers, the postponement will be extended without repeated applications and queues at the CCC. This applies, in particular, to people with disabilities, parents with many children, students, scientists and other categories defined by Government Resolution No. 560,” the agencies noted.

Users of the “Reserve+” application can apply for the most common types of deferrals online. Currently, nine types are available in the application, and two more will appear in November. After application, the user receives a digital document with a QR code, which can be shown from the phone or printed out – both options have the same legal force.

For those who do not use a smartphone or whose deferrals have not yet been added to “Reserve+”, an application can be submitted to the ASC. The administrator will enter the data into the electronic system via the Action Portal and transfer the information to the CCC.
