Ukrzaliznytsia is launching new connections to Europe, thanks to which Ukrainians will be able to reach Germany with one transfer.

This was reported by the company’s press service.

The changes were facilitated by data published in early 2025 on the number of Ukrainian citizens living in Germany.

“Germany has overtaken Poland in the number of refugees accepted from Ukraine. As of the end of 2024, more than 1.14 million Ukrainians who received temporary protection lived in Germany. Therefore, in the new timetable for 2025-2026, thanks to close cooperation with Polish and German partners, Ukrzaliznytsia will synchronize Ukrainian flights with trains to Germany,” the report says.

Thus, from December 2025, 17 trains will run from Poland to Germany – cross-border traffic will increase by 54%.

For Ukrainian passengers, transfers in the Polish cities of Przemysl and Chelm will be convenient.
