Ukrainians will be reimbursed for utility bills

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has adopted a decision to recalculate utility bills for consumers.
This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svirydenko.
She instructed the head of the State Service for Food and Consumer Protection, Serhiy Tkachuk, to ensure supervision and control over service providers’ compliance with the decision, as well as to respond to violations of consumer rights.
Svyridenko explained that the recalculation of payments will be carried out automatically for the period from January 1. According to her, additional applications from people are not required, and the result will be reflected in payments in February.
The relevant government decision concerns heat supply, water supply, and household waste disposal.
“People should pay only for the services received. If there was no heat and water due to enemy shelling, consumers should not overpay,” the prime minister concluded.
As is known, as of February 4 , more than 1,100 apartment buildings in Kyiv remain without heat supply .
