On the morning of April 24, Ukraine experienced large-scale power supply problems: due to bad weather and the consequences of Russian attacks, more than 100 settlements in various regions of the country were left without electricity.

This was reported by NPC Ukrenergo.

According to energy experts, strong gusts of wind caused power outages in Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kirovohrad, Sumy, Poltava, Cherkasy, and Mykolaiv regions.

“As of this morning, more than 100 settlements are completely or partially without power,” the company noted.

Emergency crews from the regional power companies are already working to restore damaged power lines.

Separately, Ukrenergo reported that some of the power outages were related to Russian drone attacks. As a result, consumers in Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Odessa regions are left without electricity.

Energy workers have begun restoration work where the security situation allows.

The company also noted that electricity consumption increased due to cold weather and cloudiness, which reduces the efficiency of solar power plants.

“The need for economical electricity consumption remains today,” Ukrenergo emphasized. The company urged Ukrainians to limit the use of powerful appliances in the evening.

As reported, on the night of April 24 , Russian forces attacked Ukraine with ballistic missiles and kamikaze drones . Air defense forces shot down or suppressed most of the air targets, but missiles and drones were recorded hitting a number of locations.
