Power outages were recorded in four regions of Ukraine today, July 29, due to Russian attacks. In addition, consumers in 30 settlements in four regions remain without electricity due to bad weather.
NPC Ukrenergo reported this on Facebook.
It is known that due to shelling of energy infrastructure, consumers in Donetsk, Kharkiv, Zaporizhia, and Mykolaiv regions have no electricity.
In addition, due to adverse weather conditions, as of this morning, more than 30 settlements in four regions — Kyiv, Zakarpattia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Sumy — remained completely or partially without electricity.
The department noted that wherever security conditions currently allow, emergency restoration work has already begun. Power engineers are doing everything possible to restore power to all subscribers as soon as possible.
“Electricity consumption is showing a downward trend. Today, July 29, as of 09:30, it was 11.1% lower than at this time the previous day — Tuesday. The reason for the changes is clear weather almost throughout Ukraine. This leads to high efficiency of household solar power plants and a corresponding reduction in energy consumption from the general network,” the report says.
Also yesterday, July 28, the daily maximum consumption was recorded in the evening. It was 5.3% lower than the maximum of the previous day — on Monday, July 27. The reason for the changes is the decrease in heat and the reduced need for mass use of air conditioners.
In particular, Ukrenergo noted that it is advisable to postpone the use of powerful electrical appliances today to the period of the most effective operation of industrial solar power plants – from 10:00 to 16:00.
