Ukrzaliznytsia has increased the number of routes to the EU: main changes in the schedule

Ukrzaliznytsia has introduced a new passenger train schedule, which expands travel options to European Union countries. The changes include an increase in the number of international routes and convenient transfers for passengers from different regions of Ukraine.

The new schedule increases the number of international routes from 11 to 17. This allows passengers from Kharkiv, Poltava, Kyiv and Lviv to reach Prague, Vienna, Salzburg and Munich with one transfer. Additional routes to Western European countries have been opened for residents of Zaporizhia and Dnipro.
The key direction for travel from eastern Ukraine to the countries of the European Union has become train No. 63/64 “Oberyg” Kharkiv – Kyiv – Przemysl. In Przemysl, passengers have the opportunity to transfer to European trains to Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic.
Train No. 63/64 departs from Kharkiv at 23:50, from Kyiv at 08:05 and from Lviv at 14:49, and arrives in Przemyśl at 16:59. At 17:54, train EN 417 / EC 40417 departs from Przemyśl for Munich, arriving at 10:24. The route includes stops in Vienna, Salzburg and Prague.
Also in Przemyśl, a transfer to train EC 430 to Berlin is available, which departs at 18:54 and arrives at 06:12. The return connection is provided by train EC 431 from Berlin with a subsequent transfer to train No. 63/64 to Kyiv and Kharkiv.
Separately, train No. 93/94 Kharkiv – Kyiv – Kholm runs daily, providing convenient connections for further travel through Poland and other European countries.
For residents of the Dnieper region, train No. 31/32 Zaporizhzhia – Dnipro – Przemysl with a transfer to train EC58 GALICJA to Berlin is provided. In addition, train No. 119 Dnipro – Kyiv – Kholm opens up additional opportunities for travel to Warsaw and Berlin with further transfers to European routes.
By the way, Ukrzaliznytsia has opened ticket sales for the new international train Kyiv-Bucharest , which began operating on October 10. The new route aims to strengthen Ukraine’s transport integration with the countries of the European Union.
The day before, it was reported that in the context of strengthening bilateral cooperation , Ukraine and Romania launched a test railway connection between Kyiv and Bucharest . The first cars have already set off on a journey via Chisinau, which was an important step in expanding transport, economic and defense cooperation between the countries.
