Ukrzaliznytsia has restricted train traffic in the Donetsk region: what is the reason and when will it be restored?

Ukrzaliznytsia temporarily restricts the movement of trains in the Kramatorsk direction to the borders of the Kharkiv region.

This was reported by the company’s press service and the Donetsk OVA .

As noted, the decision was made at the request of the regional military administration.

“Passengers of all 5 long-distance trains in the Kramatorsk direction receive detailed notifications about the final station in the UZ application directly on the day of departure,” explained Ukrzaliznytsia.

The regional administration will organize bus shuttles between Kramatorsk-Slovyansk and the temporary terminal station.

The OVA added that the decision to restrict traffic will also apply to suburban trains. These are Bantysheve – Kramatorsk and Sloviansk – Raihorodok.

UZ noted that the decision was dictated by security factors. At the same time, they promised to resume traffic as soon as it becomes possible.

Earlier, Russian troops attacked railway infrastructure in two regions of Ukraine — Sumy and Kharkiv. As a result of the strikes, one of the passenger trains was forced to change its route.
