Ukrzaliznytsia is considering introducing passenger insurance that would cover the risks of train delays and health damage.
This was announced by the company’s chairman of the board, Alexander Pertsovsky . According to him, this is a model similar to that used in air travel.
He noted that the company is ready to work with the insurance market to develop appropriate products, particularly for compensation in the event of train delays. At the same time, Pertsovsky emphasized that exclusions from insurance coverage, particularly force majeure, and the willingness of insurance companies to assume such risks remain an important issue.
The company also assured that train ticket prices will remain affordable for passengers until martial law ends.
