Ukrzaliznytsia trains are massively delayed after the Russian night attack: which flights are lagging the most?

After Russia’s nighttime attack on Kyiv and the region, dozens of Ukrzaliznytsia trains are running with delays on September 30. Flights to western Ukraine and other countries are the most delayed.

This was reported by the Ukrzaliznytsia service.

The most delayed train is currently train No. 31/32 Zaporizhzhia – Przemysl. It is 9 hours and 22 minutes behind schedule. Train No. 3/4 Dnipro – Uzhgorod, which left on September 29, is also almost nine hours late.

Train No. 9/10 Kyiv-Budapest is delayed by 7 hours and 39 minutes. Flights Chernihiv-Yasinya, Kharkiv-Uzhhorod, and Dnipro-Kovel are delayed by more than six hours.

The schedule of trains Kyiv-Mykolaiv, Kyiv-Zaporozhye, Kharkiv-Rakhiv and Kharkiv-Odesa has been shifted by almost six hours. There are also delays on international flights from Kyiv to Warsaw and Przemysl, as well as on the route to Chop.

The Ukrzaliznytsia service has not yet specified the reasons for the delays. They occurred after a massive night attack by the Russian Federation, during which an air alert was declared in many regions of Ukraine.

In the event of a threat of strikes, train traffic may be suspended for security reasons. The railway also regularly faces damage to infrastructure due to Russian attacks.
