A meeting between the Ukrainian delegation and the American side on achieving a dignified peace has begun in the United States. Later, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Rustem Umerov deleted his post about the start of this meeting without explaining the reasons.

Rustem Umerov stated that negotiations between the Ukrainian delegation and American representatives have started in the United States regarding further steps to achieve a just and sustainable peace.
“A meeting of the Ukrainian and American delegations on achieving a decent peace has begun in the United States,” said Rustem Umerov.
According to him, the Ukrainian side has clear directives and priorities that provide for the protection of national interests, substantive dialogue, and moving forward based on decisions developed during previous meetings in Geneva.
“We have clear directives and priorities – protection of Ukrainian interests, substantive dialogue and moving forward based on the achievements achieved in Geneva. We are working for real peace for Ukraine and guaranteed security,” said Rustem Umerov.
After that, the NSDC Secretary deleted his post on the social network, which mentioned the beginning of the meeting of the Ukrainian delegation with the American side. The reasons for the deletion of the post were not specified.
The day before, a Ukrainian delegation left for the United States of America to hold key negotiations on protecting national interests and accelerating the end of the war. The Foreign Ministry stated that the mission has clear directives and a decisive diplomatic nature.
Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy approved the updated composition of the Ukrainian delegation, which will participate in negotiations with the United States, other international partners, and representatives of the Russian Federation on achieving a just and sustainable peace.
It is worth adding that the updated version of the American “peace plan” for Ukraine, reduced from 28 to 19 points, is being kept secret to avoid new leaks in the media.
