Today, July 18, Rustem Umerov was appointed Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
This is stated in the decree of the President of Ukraine
“Appoint UMEROV Rustem Enverovich as Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine,” the document says.

Let us recall that on July 17 , the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved the appointment of Yulia Svyrydenko as Prime Minister of Ukraine .

Later, Petro Poroshenko, during the discussion of the Prime Minister’s candidacy in the Verkhovna Rada, stated that the actual absence of the “Servant of the People” coalition makes this vote unconstitutional .
Let us note that on July 15, Denis Shmyhal wrote a statement about his dismissal from the post of Prime Minister of Ukraine .
Subsequently, the Committee on the Organization of State Authority, Local Self-Government, Regional Development and Urban Planning at its meeting considered and approved the resignation of Denys Shmyhal from the post of Prime Minister of Ukraine .
By the way, President Volodymyr Zelensky officially confirmed that he offered the current Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal the position of Minister of Defense of Ukraine.
The day before, President Volodymyr Zelensky proposed that Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Yulia Sviridenko head the Cabinet of Ministers.
Subsequently, People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak reported that an official change of government is expected on July 16, within the framework of which Yulia Svyrydenko will be nominated for the post of Prime Minister instead of Denys Shmygal .
