Umerov arrived in Miami for talks with US representatives – media

The head of the Ukrainian delegation at the negotiations, Rustem Umerov, arrived in Miami to meet with US representatives amid a pause in the peace process.

According to the agency’s interlocutor, negotiations between Ukraine and Russia have effectively reached a dead end, so the parties are looking for new formats for dialogue.

US special representatives Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner were expected to visit Ukraine in the spring, but the visit did not take place. Instead, Washington’s attention has shifted somewhat to other international crises, including the situation around Iran.

The last round of trilateral talks involving Ukraine, Russia, and the United States took place in February. After that, Kyiv and Moscow had only occasional contacts with the American side.
