Umerov refused to return to Ukraine: the Central Police Department denied the rumors

Ukraine has denied rumors that the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Rustem Umerov, has allegedly left abroad and refuses to return.

In recent days, such claims have been actively spreading on social media.

This is reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation .

Umerov is currently on a business trip to the United States. He is holding scheduled meetings and consultations that should strengthen international support for Ukraine. The NSDC adds that the secretary remains in touch with the state leadership and fulfills all his tasks, including those related to security, defense, and humanitarian policy.

The Center for Countering Disinformation calls on Ukrainians and the media not to spread unverified rumors, as this plays into the hands of information operations against Ukraine.

It was previously reported thatthe Russians are spreading a fake about alleged preparations for the mandatory mobilization of women in Ukraine in order to sow panic and destabilize the situation in the country.

Recall that Russian propagandists are spreading a fake about the detention and preparation of the execution of three Ukrainian spies in Iran .
