Unexpected winter: heavy snowfalls hit several regions at once

Several regions of Ukraine are experiencing heavy snowfall today. Kharkiv, Poltava, and Zaporizhia were covered in a dense layer of snow in a short time, which is already affecting the situation on the roads.

Traffic in Kharkiv has slowed down due to snowfall. Municipal services are working in an intensified mode, and snow removal equipment has been deployed on the streets.

Visibility has deteriorated in Poltava and the road surface is slippery. Drivers are reporting difficulties on certain sections of city and suburban roads.

In Zaporizhia, snow is accompanied by gusts of wind in some places. Ice is forming on overpasses and bridges, so patrol police are urging drivers to be careful and keep their distance.

Forecasters warn that snowfall in these areas may persist and, in some places, intensify in the coming hours.
