One of the largest manufacturers of air defense equipment in Europe has reported an increase in the number of unknown drones over its secret facilities.
This is stated in the Politico article.
“We are seeing more drones than we did a few months ago,” explained Alain Kevrin, director of Thales Belgium, a company that manufactures 70mm rockets.
He noted that more drones had appeared over the plant in the eastern region of Liege, the only Belgian facility where the company has a license to assemble and store explosives.
In particular, his statements came against the backdrop of an increasing number of reports of drones in European countries — Poland, Romania, Germany, Norway, and Denmark.
Kevren expressed concern about the events that are taking place at a time when the company is seeking to double its production capacity of unguided and laser-guided missiles.
He called on Belgium to clearly define the algorithm and rules for jamming and shooting down drones, as well as to delineate the boundaries where the responsibilities of the police end and the responsibilities of companies begin.
Recall that earlier in Norway, an unidentified unmanned aerial vehicle was recorded flying over one of the strategic facilities – the Equinor gas field located in the North Sea.
As reported, flights of unidentified drones were recorded in Denmark, Sweden, Lithuania, Norway and Finland , some of which flew near military facilities and strategic infrastructure.
