In northern Denmark, operations at Aalborg Airport were temporarily suspended due to the appearance of unidentified drones in the airspace.

This was reported by Reuters, citing local police.

The first reports of drones came in around midnight. In response to the incident, the airport completely stopped operations and the airspace above it was closed.

The police noted that the investigation is ongoing. Investigators are working on the scene. It is not officially reported how many drones were spotted over the airport.

The incident caused the schedule of at least four flights to be changed, including those of SAS, Norwegian, and KLM.

As a reminder, on the night of September 9-10, the situation in Eastern Europe escalated again – Russia launched a massive strike on the territory of Ukraine, while a number of enemy drones crossed the air border of Poland . This forced Warsaw to activate air defense forces and use aviation.

As reported, on the evening of September 13 , Poland again took to the skies due to the activity of Russian strike drones in Western Ukraine.

In addition, on the night of September 23 , Gardermoen International Airport in the capital of Norway temporarily suspended operations due to the appearance of unknown drones in the airspace above the airport.
