North Korea has expressed its readiness to assist Russia in the military sphere if the need arises. This was discussed during a meeting between the leaders of the two countries, Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong-un.
The official statements of the parties indicate that Moscow and Pyongyang discussed the possible participation of North Korean military personnel in hostilities in the Kursk region, as well as further cooperation in the context of the ongoing armed conflict.
Putin, in turn, stated that representatives of the DPRK allegedly participated in hostilities in the region, calling it part of a “liberation operation” that was initiated by the North Korean side.
In response, Kim Jong-un confirmed his readiness to provide any necessary assistance, emphasizing that Pyongyang views this as a “fraternal duty” to the allied state.
As a reminder, Ukrainian intelligence has discovered that North Korea is continuously supplying Russia with huge amounts of ammunition, from artillery shells to ballistic missiles and multiple launch rocket systems, using sea, rail and air routes. Up to several million shells are supplied per month through just one targeted channel.
As reported, North Korea is planning to transfer up to 6,000 troops and equipment to Russia in the near future.
