Unknown drones attacked Taganrog: UAV production plant on fire
In Taganrog, Russia, on the morning of January 13, drones attacked an industrial facility, after which a fire broke out in the city.
This is reported by Russian and monitoring Telegram channels.
According to Telegram channels, the attack on Taganrog began at around 5:00 a.m. Kyiv time. Local channels reported a massive drone strike and the operation of air defense systems.
Soon, videos and photos of the fire appeared on social media. Monitoring channels claim that the Atlant Aero enterprise was hit.
The attack on the city was confirmed by Rostov Region Governor Yuriy Slyusar. However, he did not mention the destruction of an industrial facility.
“Air defense forces are currently repelling an air attack on Taganrog. There has been no information about casualties. Data on the consequences on the ground are being clarified,” he wrote at 05:55.
Later, additional footage of the aftermath of the attack appeared online.
The Atlant Aero enterprise specializes in the production of components for combat drones, control systems, and electronic warfare systems. In particular, the company is working on Orion drones and FPV drones.
It was previously reported that the UK plans to develop new Nightfall ballistic missiles for Ukraine with warheads weighing 200 kilograms. The range of these missiles allows them to hit Russian targets at a distance of more than 300 miles, including in the Moscow area.
